A Madrasha is an educational institution which centres around the study of Islam, as well as other subjects. It also provides housing for the poor, especially students, creating a pathway for a better future.
According to UNICEF, approximately 1 billion children are considered ‘multidimensionally’ poor where they lack basic necessities such as food and clean water. Furthermore, approximately 250 million children are out of school, with the number having grown in the last couple years. These factors can lead to children being trapped in a cycle of poverty that spans generations.
